The duo BUBREG2 was established six years ago by clarinetist Bence Bubreg and saxophonist Márton Bubreg. The saxophone and clarinet share an especially close relationship, yet very contrasting in tone and balance, resulting in an amazing and special tricky euphony.

Bence studies clarinet with Harri Mäki at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and Max Bauer in Innsbruck. Márton studies saxophone at the Music Academy Munich with Koryun Asatryan. Together, the two young musicians have been awarded first prizes on various international competitions in the past years, including

Osaka International Music C.(Japan), Mercandante, Carlino (Italy), ClariSax (France), Clari Art (Czech Republic), Svirel, Emona (Slovenia), Grand Prize Virtuoso (Austria), Golden Saxophon (Ukraine), Köles István (Hungary), Sax Fest (Andorra), Femus (Serbia), arasdin, VIMM (Croatia)

The Duo BUBREG2 introduce the audience to their sonic world of unique sounds and closely blended tones. They are passionately devoted to modern music. They collaborate closely with contemporary composers, and play world premieres of their original compositions with an exceptional, particularly exclusive sound.
